Bankruptcy happens when you cannot pay your debts. This happens when you default payments for more than the stipulated times.

It scares me to death thinking of this. Have you ever envisioned what kind of state you would be in if you lose all your money, property and assets? I bet you'll feel helpless and have suicidal tendencies.

Bankruptcy will affect a lot of things: You cannot take any loans and you are left with a bad credit in your name. It's more of a personal effect even if bankruptcy is business in nature.

I am sure no one would want to be in the state of bankruptcy or be declared as such. No one wants to lose all their assets and properties. So what should you do to avoid being caught in such a situation? Should you flee away from your country? Play hide and seek with the creditors? You may laugh at this but trust me, many people attempt to elude the creditors but sadly, they fail.

To avoid getting caught in such a situation, you should not spend more than what you earn. Many of us own 'plastics' (ie credit cards) now. Many of us find it tempting to just sign and get all the things you want just by signing. But there is a bigger consequence that most of us fail to see. At the end of the month, it is you who have to bear the bills of you over expenditure.

If you a credit card account holder, make sure you shout not use one credit card to pay for another credit card. You are just asking for trouble and getting yourself into more debt troubles.

This way, you can avert bankruptcy and thus, money and losing all your assets will be the least of your problems. Trust me, take this advice. You do not want to get caught in such a situation.
